https://www.eventbrite.com/e/improvisation-classes-with-improvable-tickets-22855733113

New this Spring, Improvable are offering an 8 week improv performance course suitable for all levels. We’ll cover some improv basics, improve your confidence on stage, and have a crazy amount of fun. Experienced improvisers will enjoy learning a whole host of new games, including some physical theatre/clown elements to really up your style quota. Expect to finish this course with a well-rounded improv skill set and a love of performing.

These classes are suitable for just about everybody, no matter your background. The venue is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, as there are a handful of steps, but most levels of physical fitness and ability can easily be accommodated. You’ll also need good basic English skills, but please don’t be worried if it’s your second language.

8 Mondays from 7-930 at the Nursery Training Centre, 88 Borough High Street. A performance showcase will be scheduled in early June. Email [email protected] with any questions

Teacher Bio:

Artistic director of Improvable Stephen Davidson has been improvising for 5 years and is a huge improv geek. He currently also plays with Story Kitchen Theatresports, Open Roads: The Improvised Road Movie, and The Verbs, house team of the Nursery theatre. He has studied improv through UCB, i/o Chicago, The Nursery, The FA, Hoopla, The Maydays, Music Box, Showstoppers, City Academy, Imprology, and with many visiting artists including Dave Razowsky, Bill Arnett, Tim Sozko, Heather Anne Campbell, Deanna Fleysher, and Lydia Hensler.

Stephen loves improv and one of the world's most cheerful people when playing or teaching. His day job is as a clarinettist, conductor, and music teacher, and he's always felt at home on stage. When coaching both music and improv he prides himself of creating a positive environment so that players can perform at their best. Stephen likes his improv like he likes his partners; silly, clever, and emotionally connected.
