Autumn Workshops!
Saturday September 12th. 11-5pm. The Caretaker – Chris Johnston
Taking the Harold Pinter classic text, we’ll be exploring both text and improvisational strategies to explore the core situation. And while the play has only male characters, in this workshop we’ll explore how the dynamics change if the characters are female or mixed.
Saturday October 10th. 11-5pm. Silence & Subtext – Katy Schutte
We will be looking at how to pick up on subtle cues from your co-performer, from their physicality, their tone and chosen words to find and play with subtext. We'll use improvised scene work, games and Chicago-style 'slow comedy' using more than one layer of understanding to create realistic and truthful moments with depth and subtlety.
Saturday November 14th. 11-5pm. Finding the Game of the Moment – Joanne Robinson
The workshop will be clown-based, looking at what happens between performers moment-to-moment. There’s an emphasis on how failure can be poetic as well as funny. Overall, the workshop will be about finding pleasure and fun in different dramatic situations using clown-based techniques.
Prices are £15 per session or £30 for all three sessions. You can book via [email protected]
