A 10 week Course with Andrew Tidmarsh

The aim of this ten week course is to look at how improvisational skills can assist and improve the actor's readiness, availability and spontaneity. Each session will begin with quick-fire exercises which then lead into building longer scenes and sketches.

We will spend time looking at:
Story-telling
Characterisation
Rhythmic and Tonal Variety
Audience Perception
Relationships
Making it happen vs Letting it happen
Ease in performance
Handling Nerves

We will also be looking at what is funny, but this is a secondary consideration. Our prime aim is to produce work that is authentic, moving and effective.

This course is for people with some experience of performance. The participants do not need to be accomplished or expert, but they must have undergone some sort of past training or classes.
