The Institute is back!

Fresh from a lovely rest all summer The Institute is back in its twice monthly slot at The Canal Cafe Theatre! Wednesday 3rd September we kick off and we'll be back on the 17th after that. As always it will be a mix of funny and made up, we'll do scenes, stories and silliness to entertain you, because we're nice like that we are.
We've been super busy over the summer, Lucy Trodd was starring in the super successful Showstopper in Edinburgh, and Sara Pascoe came top 3 in both Funny women and So you think you're funny competitions. So basically we've had lots of practice at being funny and brilliant.
We're back at the Canal until December (oct-8,22, nov-5,19, dec, 3,10,17). But every show is different so don't wait to see us, that'd be naughty.

Showstopper! in Edinburgh
Ladies and Gentlemen, the fabulous spectacle that is Showstopper! The improvised musical will be loading up the wagons and bearing north for The Edinburgh Fringe festival in just over a week's time.
Here's the glitzy version: "Improvised entirely from audience suggestions, Showstopper brims with dazzling routines, musical mayhem, side-splitting comedy and plenty of drama, leaving you singing all the way home."
With a cast comprising the most talented musical improvisers in London and beyond, it has taken us a year to create this show and, if I may say so, it's pretty good. If you are up in Edinburgh, pop in and see us.

Pros from Dover - July 2
Hello there
As some of you may know, The Pros from
Dover are off to something called The Edinburgh Festival some time
laterthis year. To this end, we have lashed together a rag-tag collection of
skits to perform up there.
Please help us through the difficult times between
sketches as we scrabble around for beards and pipes, trying not to
leave the stage empty for too long; help us to decide which sketches to keep and
which to leave behind in London as they will not thrive in the flinty soil of a
Caledonian Arts Festival; and above all, join us for a farewell drink, since, if
all goes to plan, the Scots will take us to their bosom and we will not
return.
