The Maydays Slow & Steady Wins the Scene

Description: Improv Intensive Weekend Workshop with Maydays Director, Lloydie James Lloyd
If you sometimes feel you’d benefit from slowing down your scene work and investing in your characters and scenes then this weekend intensive will give you the tools to make more out of less. Slowing down allows us to notice so much more in the scene we are in and opens up choices that would otherwise be missed.

This weekend intensive will focus on paying attention with all our senses, investing in our characters and in the relationships they have and in collecting fun details from scenes so that we can recycle them later.

You will also have the chance to work on a more emotional and relationship-based style of play, grounded in reality. Scene might provoke reactions other than laughter but the funny will always be waiting in the wings for the right moment.

If you want to let go and dive into a playing compelling, real people on stage while making the laughs you get better earned, then this is the weekend to make it happen.
