Buoyed by the success of the inaugural - and so far, only - performance of their two-man Twilight Zone episode back in May, Alan Marriott and Phil Whelans, will steadfastly ignore the sinister portents suggested by the date of this show and, by way of ringing Fate's doorbell and running away, despite the fact that Fate has CCTV, they'll be doing it again.

Alan Marriott – founder of Grand Theft Impro, Alan is a voice-over... well, I'll say it... maestro; credits include Bob the Builder, Vampires, Pirates and Aliens, Anthony Ant, Lego Nexo Knights, Lego Star Wars and My Little Pony. Alan is currently the voice of Grand Sensei Dareth in Lego Ninjago. He was in The Reduced Shakespeare Company, brought Theatresports  to London and devised or co-devised Hamlet Improvised, The Impro Musical, Impropera and Will Shakespeare's Impro Musical.

Phil Whelans - writer and performer of his own Radio 4 sitcom, My First Planet, founder member of Pros from Dover - with whom he did two series of Radio 4's The Infinite Monkey Cage. Phil has worked with everyone from Joan Rivers to Basil Brush, Al Gore to Brian Conley, Robin Williams to Giles Brandreth. Phil has been in It's Kevin, Brasseye, Preston Front and a number of unsuccessful radio and TV impro pilots. He has appeared in Showstopper: the Improvised Musical and is a Monkey Toast player.

Phil and Alan will be accompanied by Sandra-Mae Luykx.

Then Sally Hodgkiss and Alexander Fox will perform a set of two-human impro

Sally Hodgkiss studied with IO, UCB, and the Annoyance amongst others. Theatre credits include: Sparks (Old Red Lion), The Funfair (HOME), Hobson’s Choice (Sheffield Crucible), The Queen of the North (Bolton Octagon), Plain Jane (Manchester Royal Exchange), A Wondrous Place (Manchester Royal Exchange/Sheffield Crucible), Dinosaur (The Arcola), Northern Spirit (Northern Stage). Film credits include: The Black Dog, Speechless. Improv credits include: The Science of Living Things, Catch 23 and The Playground.

Alexander Fox began writing and performing comedy whilst a student at Oxford, where he was in both the Oxford Imps and the Oxford Revue. He has trained with iO Theatre (Chicago), UCB Theatre (New York) and Second City. Shaken Not Stirred: The Improvised James Bond Film will be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe for a fourth successive year in 2018 and, in, 2017, he made his 2017 solo debut with Ringo – described as “Whiplash meets Yellow Submarine.” He was previously in sketch comedy troupe The Awkward Silence.  He describes his next solo show as “Whiplash meets The Graduate.”

And finally, Grand Theft Impro will perform a set featuring our special guest, Oliver Senton.

Oliver Senton has been a member of the Olivier award-winning Showstopper team and a bardic extemporiser with the School of Night. He's done lots of theatre, TV and film, he's been in the RSC, was the lead in the late, great Ken Campbell's The Warp, he spent a year in the West End starring in Mama Mia and featured in BBC Radio 4's sketch show, Trodd en Bratt's Well Done You.

Coming to this show may not placate Lady Luck and prevent her dropping your phone down the toilet or emptying your bank account, but what better way to spend an evening before a safe falls on you?

Music will be provided by the wonderful Tom Hodge. Tom has played for GTI, Music Box, Notflix, Monkey Toast, Seance Fiction and countless other impro juggernauts.
