From Chicago Improv Association comes ZENPROV!

Zenprov is the brainchild of Marshall Stern and represents a novel way of viewing Improv through the lens of Zen thought while also viewing Zen and Life in general through the unique lens of Improv. Nancy Howland Walker joined him in creating a full six-level curriculum for Players Workshop of the Second City in 2001 based on Zenprov.

And now they are in the UK to share the value of what they have been exploring for years.

Book onto the wokshop by emailing Nathan on:

Improvised comedy workshop in Cambridge.

We’re going to have some fun improvising scenes, stories and sketches. You don’t need any drama, acting, comedy or impro experience whatsoever. You don’t have to be clever, fast or funny either!

We start with some friendly warm-ups before doing some fun exercises on one of the core areas of impro like listening, building on each other’s ideas, character, narrative and scene work. In the second half we tend to open it up so you get to put some of these skills into practice and have some fun improvising scenes, stories and sketches.

These workshops are open to all. The workshops are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced performers as we modify the themes, topics, games and exercises on the day.

We get people from all backgrounds at our workshops as they’re a great place to have fun at the weekend and do all the fun bits of drama and impro without the commitment of regular rehearsals or learning lines.

You don’t need any drama, acting, comedy or impro experience whatsoever. You don’t have to be clever, fast or funny.

£20 per person. Pay online at ticketsource.co.uk/hoopla or just pay on the day, no need to book ahead.
